Durabio is a biomaterial-based polycarbonate resin developed by Mitsubishi Chemical as a glass replacement. It is already used in the automotive and mobile phone industries for products such as casings for touchscreens, console and instrument panels, and external cooler grilles. Durabio has excellent durability and is highly heat, scratch and abrasion-resistant. It is manufactured in series under strict Japanese quality control.
Combines the best properties of polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and is also UV-resistant.
It has excellent optical and mechanical properties, and also high resistance to heat, scratching and abrasion.
The filament is environmentally friendly – BPA-free and manufactured based on the renewable raw material source isosorbide.
