PLA Wood is a composite material based on PLA with the addition of wood content of up to 5%, particle size less than 200 microns. The presence of real wood in monofilament gives printed products aesthetics and during 3D printing, a characteristic smell of wood is felt. PLA Wood prints easily at low temperatures, has low deformation shrinkage, and is biodegradable like PLA. This monofilament is less abrasive than other composite monofilaments filled with carbon fiber and metal, since the wood particles are much softer. PLA-plastic is a biodegradable thermoplastic polyester obtained on the basis of lactic acid – a product of the processing of corn, sugarcane, starch, cellulose. When heated, PLA plastic produces a semi-sweet starch odor. PLA plastic is the best material to get started with your 3D printer. The almost complete absence of shrinkage in this plastic contributes to the correct printing of the model, and also provides a high print resolution, which allows creating models of greater geometric complexity than when using ABS. When printing with PLA-plastic, it is recommended to use a fan for faster hardening of products and achieving higher print quality. With proper cooling, PLA allows you to print at a higher maximum speed, lower layer height and sharper corners. Due to these advantages, in combination with low deformation, PLA plastic is more often chosen for home and school printers, as well as amateur printing.
Material: wood PLA, has wood powder in it (5% wood infill), particle size less than 200 microns – Color: wood
Recommended Printing Temp/Nozzle Temperature: 230-240°C (446-464°F), Base Plate Temperature: 50-70°C(122-158°F)
PLA Wood prints easily at low temperatures, has low deformation shrinkage, and is biodegradable like PLA
Attention please: Clean the nozzle before printing OR just use a 0.5mm or above nozzle to avoid clog.
