What’s the meaning of 98a?
It is shore value 98a, which a global portable (rubber/plastics)hardness testing.
The number 98 refers to the hardness. The smaller the number, the softer the material. Most common tpu filament in the market is 95a. Our tpu 98a is stiffer than it.
How flexible or elastic are the printed objects?
If you need a little stiff filament to make some strong, useful things, or some structural parts that also had some flexural areas, picked this up. Like rc car tires, fpv parts.
If a mask was printed with this would it be flexible enough to mould to my face making it almost airtight?
No. The material can flex a bit, but can’t be molded into shapes after printing. It is not so soft.
What is the printing speed and temperature?
It is actually pretty good TPU, being that it’s 98a it prints slightly faster than the softer TPU filaments.
Sometimes, we just choose the pre-settings of PLA in X1C. It works.
We can print at 210-245, depending on the printers and the speed.
Does Priline 98A TPU work on the Bambulab AMS ? What is the recommended drying temperature?
Don’t put it in your AMS! Although some users had made it work well in AMS, anyway, it is a flexible material, we did not suggest this.
Usually, we can dry this filament for 4 hours at 80℃, with hot wind.
